Choose Push to WMS for 3PL destinations or Link Inbound Shipments for Amazon FBA/AWD when shipping from Work Orders Shipment Planning.
Collection: Work Orders: FAQ & Troubleshooting
Priority: P0
Short answer
| Destination type | Action after posting transfer order |
|---|---|
| 3PL warehouse (WMS-integrated) | Push to WMS — sends ASN/inbound shipment to 3PL |
| Amazon FBA / AWD | Link Inbound Shipments when creating TO — reconciles to Amazon shipment plan |
Push to WMS (3PL)
Use when shipping to a third-party logistics warehouse integrated with Luminous (e.g., Shapiro, ShipMonk, or custom WMS).
Flow:
- Create transfer order → Posted TOs
- Click Push to WMS (or Push All to WMS)
- 3PL receives inbound shipment details for receiving
- Ship the linked sales order when goods leave co-man (depletes origin inventory)
See Post transfer orders and push to 3PL WMS.
Reconcile to inbound shipment (FBA / AWD)
Use when shipping to Amazon fulfillment centers where inbound shipment plans already exist in Seller Central.
Flow:
- When creating the transfer order, expand Link Inbound Shipments (Optional)
- Select one or more Amazon inbound shipments to reconcile
- Post the TO — reconciliation status shows on Posted TOs
- Do not use Push to WMS for FBA destinations
One transfer order can reconcile to multiple FBA shipments — Amazon often splits inbound plans into several shipment IDs.
See Reconcile transfer orders to Amazon inbound shipments.
How to tell which applies
