Posting a transfer order from Shipment Planning creates a sales order (to ship from the source) and a Supplier Purchase Order (to receive at the destination), and moves inventory when the shipment executes.

Priority: P1
Short answer
Posting a transfer order:
- Changes TO status from Draft to Posted
- Creates an associated sales order (to ship from source) and a Supplier Purchase Order (to receive at destination)
- Makes the TO appear on the Posted TOs sub-tab
- Enables Push to WMS, Ship All SOs, and other posted-TO actions
Inventory impact
Inventory is not depleted at post time. Depletion happens when the linked sales order ships (e.g., Ship All SOs on Posted TOs, or manual ship on the SO).
This matches the physical flow: post = authorize shipment; ship = goods leave origin.
Draft vs Posted
| Status | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Draft | Planning only — excluded from shipped qty calculations |
| Posted | Executable — ready for WMS push, ship, or FBA reconciliation |
