Link transfer orders to existing Amazon FBA or AWD inbound shipments when one TO maps to one or more Amazon shipment plans.

Priority: P1
Who this is for
Logistics staff shipping co-manufactured finished goods to Amazon FBA or AWD who need to tie Luminous transfer orders to Amazon inbound shipment plans.
Before you begin
- Finished goods ready in Shipment Planning
- Amazon inbound shipment plans already created in Seller Central / your Amazon integration
- Destination warehouse configured for FBA/AWD
Steps
1. Create a transfer order
In Shipment Planning → Ready to Ship, select finished goods and click Create Transfer Order.
Set Destination Warehouse to your FBA or AWD warehouse.
2. Link inbound shipments
In the Create Transfer Order modal, expand Link Inbound Shipments (Optional).
Use filters to find the correct Amazon inbound shipment(s):
- Expand shipment rows to see SKU-level detail
- Match quantities and references to your transfer order lines
3. Reconcile to multiple shipments
Amazon often splits one logical shipment into multiple inbound shipment IDs. You can reconcile one transfer order to multiple inbound shipments — select all that apply.
4. Create the transfer order
Click Create. The TO is created with inbound shipment links.
5. Post the transfer order
Post the TO when ready to execute (Shipment Planning).
6. Verify reconciliation status
On Posted TOs, reconciled FBA shipments show a green reconciled indicator with the FBA reference number and shipment details visible.
You do not use Push to WMS for FBA destinations — reconciliation handles the Amazon link.
7. Ship to deplete inventory
Ship the associated sales order when goods leave the co-manufacturer to deplete origin inventory.
What happens next
- Luminous links your transfer order to Amazon inbound shipment record(s)
- Amazon shipment status syncs per your integration setup
- Inventory depletes from co-man when the sales order ships
Co-manufacturer workflow callout
A common pattern: one transfer order represents everything leaving the co-man for a given FBA inbound plan, but Amazon assigned multiple shipment IDs. Reconcile to all relevant inbound shipments so tracking and quantity stay aligned.
