Use the Production Log on a work order to record what was produced and what was scrapped, so your records reflect actual yield.
Who this is for
Production and ops staff tracking output and waste during a manufacturing run.
Before you begin
- The work order is In Progress.
Steps
- Open the work order and open the Production & Logistics Steps tab.
- Click Log Production.
- Enter Quantity Produced and Quantity Scrapped, and optional notes.
- Save the entry. It is stamped with who logged it and when, building a running record for the job.
What happens next
Scrapped quantities give you a record of waste against produced output. How components deplete when the assembly completes is governed by each component's consumption basis (Planned vs Actual).
