Correcting the Arrival Date on a Posted Transfer Order

Once a transfer order is posted, the normal edit form is locked to protect in-transit inventory. If a supplier or carrier provides a revised ETA, you can update the Arrival Date directly from the Transfer Orders list without recreating the order.

Who can do this: Any user with access to Transfer Orders whose account has this feature enabled.

Steps

  1. Go to Inventory → Transfer Orders.
  2. Find the posted transfer order whose arrival date you need to correct. Posted orders are shown with a purple Posted badge.
  3. In the Arrival Date column, click the date field. It becomes an editable date input for posted orders.
  4. Select or type the new arrival date and press Tab or click away to confirm.
  5. Luminous saves the new date, updates the linked purchase order's expected arrival date in step, and records the change in the purchase order's Activity Log (Inventory → Purchase Orders → open the PO → Activity tab).

Checking the audit trail

Every arrival date change is logged under the linked purchase order's Activity tab. The entry shows:

  • The new arrival date
  • The user who made the change
  • The timestamp

See Purchase Order Activity Log: Track Every Change Made to Your POs for full details on reading the Activity tab.

Not seeing the editable date field?

This feature is rolling out gradually. If the Arrival Date column shows plain text for your posted transfer orders, contact Luminous support to check availability for your account.
