Use this when you add a new SKU and need it on many B2B Product Templates. Otherwise you would open and edit each template one by one.
Before you start
- You need permission to update client SKU templates.
- The feature must be enabled for your account. If you don't see the menu options below, contact support.
Steps
- Go to Inventory > SKUs.
- Tick the SKUs you want to change.
- Open the bulk actions menu and choose Add to B2B Product Templates… or Remove from B2B Product Templates….
- In the dialog, search templates by name and tick the ones to update. Select all ticks every template currently shown.
- Click Add to N templates or Remove from N templates.
- Review the summary. It shows how many SKUs were added or removed per template and how many were already there.
Good to know
- Only the SKUs you selected are changed. Other SKUs in the templates are untouched.
- It is safe to repeat. Adding skips SKUs a template already has, and removing skips SKUs it doesn't have.
- Adding skips SKUs that templates can't hold: variants, discontinued SKUs and other product types. The summary tells you how many were skipped.
- If you have many templates, the dialog shows only the first batch and tells you so. Use the External API to update the rest.
- Changes are recorded in each template's activity log.
External API / Kol The External API endpoint for bulk template items accepts an action (add or remove), template IDs or all templates with an exclude list, and SKU IDs or SKU codes, up to 1000 of each. For example: add a SKU to every template except the private-label ones. Unknown templates or SKUs reject the whole request before anything is changed.
