1. Navigate to the Product Import Area
- Log into Luminous
- In the top-right corner, click your login name
- Select Settings / Integrations
- Click Manage Products (small blue icon on the integration)
- Click the Actions dropdown and choose Import App Integration Account Products
2. Download the Import Template
- Click the option to download the import template.
- Save the Excel file locally.
3. Prepare Your File
- Open the downloaded Excel template
- Identify the key columns:
- External Sales Channel SKU (Shopify SKU, for example)
- Luminous SKU (internal SKU)
- Product Name
- GTIN (this is the important field)
- Locate the GTIN column (Column I on the Luminous template).
- Fill in the GTIN value for each SKU.
- Save your completed file.
Note:
- Do not change column headers if using the template (this ensures auto-mapping works).
- If using your own file, ensure columns are clearly labeled.
4. Upload the File
- Return to the Import Products screen in Luminous.
- Click Upload / Choose File.
- Select your completed Excel file.
5. Verify Column Mapping
- Review how Luminous maps your columns:
- Ensure GTIN → GTIN
- Ensure SKU fields → correct SKU fields
- If using the official template:
- Mapping should happen automatically.
- If using a custom file:
- Carefully double-check all mappings before proceeding.
6. Complete the Import
- Proceed with the import.
- Luminous will assign each GTIN to its corresponding SKU.
7. Post-Import Notes
- GTINs are successfully stored after import.
- GTIN values may not be visible on the SKU front-end view.
- They exist in the backend of the integration and are properly mapped.
