Background

On a drop-ship channel, pushing a fulfillment order (FO) uses the Create Drop-Ship PO action. It creates a supplier purchase order (PO) and doesn’t send anything to a warehouse or fulfillment integration. Unpushing a drop-ship FO is therefore handled inside Luminous only and doesn’t cancel anything in an external system.

Unpush a drop-ship fulfillment order

  1. If the supplier PO is still active, cancel or delete it first. Luminous doesn’t change the PO for you, because it may already have been sent to the supplier.
  • Open the PO (it’s marked Drop Ship, and it lists the linked fulfillment orders).
  • Click Actions → Cancel Order, then confirm with Cancel order. Or choose Delete Order.
  1. Go to Operations → Fulfillment Orders and open the FO’s actions menu (⋮).
  2. Click Unpush from WMS and confirm with Yes. You’ll see “1 fulfillment order(s) removed successfully.” The pushed state clears and the Unpushed date is set.

If you try to unpush while the PO is still active, you’ll see a message like: “Cancel or delete drop-ship purchase order #123 before unpushing this fulfillment order.”

Delete a drop-ship fulfillment order

Once the FO is unpushed, delete it from its actions menu with Delete Fulfillment Order, then confirm with Delete. Bulk delete from Bulk Actions works only for cancelled fulfillment orders, so delete active ones one at a time.

Limits

  • A drop-ship FO that has already shipped can’t be unpushed.
  • An FO that was pushed to an integration before its channel was switched to drop-ship is still unpushed through that integration, as usual.
  • Create Drop-Ship PO won’t run while the sales order is on hold. You’ll see “Skipped push: sales order is on hold.” Take the order off hold first.
