Use On-Hand is only offered on a sub-assembly step whose supply method is On Hand and whose on-hand stock covers the step. Steps set to Purchase or Assembly don’t show it.

  1. Open the work order and find the step marked Used On-Hand.
  2. Click Undo Use On-Hand and confirm.
  3. The step reopens so it can be produced, and Report Production is available again.

What to know:

  • Steps that were marked Used On-Hand together with this one reopen too, and the materials for those steps are reserved again.
  • The button only shows where the reopen is allowed. It isn't offered on a closed work order, or when a step that depends on it has already reported production or nothing open still needs it.
  • This capability is rolled out gradually, so you may not see the button yet.
