Overview
FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) orders from Amazon flow into Luminous through a trackstar_cart App Integration Account. The integration does two things:
- Pulls orders in — TrackStar Cart forwards Amazon FBM orders to Luminous so you can create and manage fulfillment.
- Pushes inventory out — Luminous sends your available stock quantities back to Amazon through TrackStar Cart so your FBM listings stay accurate.
Setup has four stages: create the integration account, map your SKUs, wire the channel, and verify.
Stage 1 — Create the trackstar_cart App Integration Account
- Go to Settings → Integrations and click Add Integration.
- Choose Amazon, then Seller Central — Amazon as a sales channel (this creates the trackstar_cart account), and give the connection a clear name (e.g. Amazon FBM).
- Click Authorize Amazon. A TrackStar authentication window will open — follow the prompts to authorize your Amazon Seller Central account. When complete, the Access Token and Credential ID fields are filled in automatically (they are read-only).
- Configure the settings below, then save.
Integration account settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Inventory Quantity Type (required) | Which stock figure TrackStar Cart reports back to Luminous. Options: Sellable (recommended for most FBM setups), Onhand, Committed, Fulfillable, Unfulfillable, Unsellable, or Awaiting. |
| Get Products | Enable this so Luminous can fetch your Amazon product catalog from TrackStar, which powers the automapping step below. |
| SKU Field Mapping | Controls which field on incoming order lines Luminous uses as the SKU. Choose product_sku (the Amazon seller SKU — default behavior) or product_id (the Amazon product/ASIN identifier). Use product_id only if your Luminous SKUs match Amazon ASINs rather than seller SKUs. |
| Minimum Order Age (minutes) | Luminous will not pull orders newer than this many minutes. Use a small buffer (e.g. 5–15 minutes) if you want to avoid processing orders that Amazon may still be updating. Set to 0 to pull immediately. |
| Show Inventory Location | Show per-location inventory breakdowns for this integration account. |
| Include Inactive/Deleted Products | Pull inactive or deleted Amazon listings when fetching products. Usually left off. |
| Fulfillment Cutover Date | Optional. Orders placed before this date will not have fulfillment orders auto-generated. Useful when going live on an existing Amazon account that already has historical orders. |
Stage 2 — Map your SKUs
Before any orders can post, every Amazon listing must be linked to the matching Luminous SKU.
- Open the integration account you just created and click Manage Products.
- Click Automap Product SKUs — Luminous will automatically match listings whose identifiers already align.
- Review the results. Any listing that did not automap shows as unmapped. Map those manually by selecting the correct Luminous SKU.
Important: Unmapped SKUs will block the matching order lines from posting. Complete all mappings before enabling live order pulls.
Stage 3 — Configure the FBM Channel
If you don't already have an FBM channel, create one first (Manage → Channels → New Channel, type: Sales Channel). Then open the channel to edit it.
Order Source section
- Enable Pull Sales Orders.
- Under Pull Orders From, select your new trackstar_cart integration account.
- This is the account Luminous will poll for incoming Amazon FBM orders.
Push Inventory Stocks and Costs section
- Enable Push Stock to Integration.
- Under Push To Integration Account, select the same trackstar_cart account.
- Under Warehouse Group, confirm the warehouse group that holds your FBM inventory.
- Optionally configure a Scheduled Push Stock cadence so inventory syncs automatically on a set schedule.
Click Save at the bottom of the form.
Stage 4 — Verify the Setup
- Go to Settings → Integrations and confirm the trackstar_cart account shows a SUCCESS status on both Get Products and Push Stock.
- Trigger a manual stock push from the channel and confirm your inventory quantities update on your Amazon FBM listings.
- Place a test order (or wait for an incoming order) and confirm it arrives in Luminous — not in the Purgatory queue.
If an order lands in Purgatory, check for unmapped SKUs under Manage Products on the integration account.
Per-SKU Buffer Quantities
If you want to hold back a buffer quantity per SKU (e.g. never push fewer than X units to Amazon), configure those under Manage → Channel Product Mapping on the FBM channel.
Migrating from an older ecart FBM account?
If you already have a working FBM channel connected to an ecart integration account and want to switch it to trackstar_cart, see the FBM Migration SOP: ecart → trackstar_cart article for step-by-step swap instructions that preserve your existing channel settings.
