Overview
This article walks you through the full setup of a Fulfilled-by-Merchant (FBM) channel in Luminous using the trackstar_cart integration type — from creating the app integration account all the way through configuring the stock push and making sure kit SKUs sync correctly.
Step 1 — Create the trackstar_cart App Integration Account
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Click Add Integration.
- Choose Amazon, then Seller Central — Amazon as a sales channel (the TrackStar Cart /
trackstar_cartconnection). - Give the account a clear name, for example FBM or Amazon FBM.
- Click Authorize Amazon and sign in to your Amazon Seller Central account when prompted.
- Enable Get Products so Luminous can pull your product catalog from the marketplace.
- Save the account.
Why Get Products matters: Luminous uses the product catalog pull to build the SKU mapping table you'll use in the next step. Without it, automapping won't have anything to match against.
Step 2 — Map Your SKUs
Before the channel can push stock or receive orders, every Luminous SKU must be linked to its corresponding marketplace listing.
- Open the integration account you just created.
- Navigate to Manage Products.
- Open the Actions menu and click Auto-Map Product SKUs to let Luminous match by SKU name automatically.
- Review the results and manually map any SKUs that didn't automap.
Important: Any SKU that remains unmapped will cause orders for that SKU to land in purgatory rather than posting. Confirm all SKUs are mapped before going live.
Step 3 — Configure the FBM Channel
Go to Manage → Channels and open the FBM channel for editing (click ⋮ → Edit).
Order Source
In the Order Source section, make sure the Pull Orders From dropdown is set to the trackstar_cart account you just created. This controls where Luminous pulls incoming FBM orders from.
Push Stock to Integration
Scroll to the Push Inventory Stocks and Costs section:
- Toggle Push Stock to Integration to ON. Additional options appear:
- Include Incoming Stocks as Sellable — counts stock in transit toward the quantity pushed.
- Push Incoming Stocks from Supplier Purchase Orders — includes open PO quantities.
- Advanced configuration — fine-grained control over the sellable quantity formula.
- Under Push To Integration Account, select your trackstar_cart FBM account.
- Under Warehouse Group, select the warehouse group where your FBM inventory is physically held. For a Sales channel, this picker lives inside the Push Inventory section.
Push Schedule
Once an integration account is selected, the Enable Scheduled Push Stock option becomes available:
- Toggle it ON and choose a mode:
- Daily Set Times — one or more specific HH:MM times (24-hour format).
- Spread — enter a push count per day; Luminous distributes pushes evenly.
- Hourly — enter an interval (e.g.,
2for every 2 hours).
- If you leave the schedule off, Luminous defaults to pushing approximately every four hours (exact timing can vary slightly with system load).
Click Save at the bottom of the form.
Step 4 — How Kit Inventory Is Pushed
Kit SKUs are virtual products in Luminous — they don't hold their own stock. When the stock push runs, Luminous calculates each kit's available quantity from its component SKUs:
Example: A kit requires 2× Item A and 1× Item B. If Item A has 10 on hand and Item B has 4 on hand, the kit's calculated available quantity is 4 (the bottleneck component wins). That value of 4 is what gets pushed to the channel.
Because the push quantity is derived from component stock, the following rules apply:
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| Kit availability seems too low | Check and adjust inventory on the component SKUs, not the kit itself |
| Kit availability isn't updating | Confirm all component SKUs are mapped to the same channel |
| You want to reserve a buffer | Set a per-SKU buffer under Manage → Channels → Product Mapping for the kit's mapped listing |
Expand Kits for Fulfillment — does it affect the stock push?
No. The Expand Kits for Fulfillment toggle (found in the channel's edit form) only controls how fulfillment orders are structured — either as a single kit line item or exploded into component lines for your warehouse. It has no effect on the inventory quantity pushed to the marketplace. Kit stock always pushes as the calculated available quantity regardless of this setting.
Step 5 — Verify the Setup
After saving the channel:
- Go to Settings → Integrations and confirm the new trackstar_cart account shows SUCCESS for both Get Products and Push Stock.
- Trigger a manual stock push from the channel and verify that quantities update on your Amazon FBM listings.
- Confirm that incoming test orders land in Luminous and post correctly (not stuck in purgatory).
- Review the Channel Product Mapping grid (Manage → Channels → [your channel] → Product Mapping) — check the Stock Lvl [Pulled] and Last Pushed columns to confirm kit SKUs are receiving pushes and the quantities look correct.
Quick Troubleshooting Reference
| Symptom | Likely cause | Where to check |
|---|---|---|
| Orders landing in purgatory | One or more SKUs are unmapped | Integration account → Manage Products |
| Kit shows 0 on marketplace | Component stock is 0 or a component is unmapped | Inventory → SKUs → component SKU on-hand quantity |
| Stock Lvl [Pulled] is stale | Push schedule not enabled or channel inactive | Manage → Channels → Edit → Push Schedule |
| Push Failed message on a listing | Product was removed from the marketplace side | Manage → Channels → Product Mapping → Last Pushed remarks |
