Quick answer: use Trackstar Cart for FBM
Luminous has two separate TrackStar integration account types:
| Account type | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Trackstar | Connecting a TrackStar warehouse management system (WMS) — used to push fulfillment orders to a warehouse and pull back shipment/tracking data. |
| Trackstar Cart | Connecting a marketplace cart source such as Amazon FBM — used to pull customer orders into Luminous and push your inventory quantities back to the marketplace listing. |
For an FBM integration, always choose Trackstar Cart.
Step-by-step: setting up a new FBM integration
Step 1 — Create the App Integration Account
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Click Add Integration.
- Choose Amazon, then Seller Central — Amazon as a sales channel (the TrackStar Cart /
trackstar_cartconnection). - Give it a clear name (e.g.
Amazon FBM). - Click Authorize Amazon and authenticate with your Amazon Seller Central account when prompted.
Step 2 — Enable Get Products and map SKUs
- Open the newly created Trackstar Cart account.
- Enable the Get Products toggle so Luminous can retrieve your Amazon listings.
- Go to Manage Products inside the account.
- Open the Actions menu and click Auto-Map Product SKUs — Luminous will automatically match your Luminous SKUs to Amazon FBM listings by comparing SKU codes.
- Review the results and manually map any SKUs that didn't automap.
Important: Any unmapped SKU will prevent orders from posting correctly. Confirm all relevant SKUs are mapped before going live.
Step 3 — Configure your FBM channel
- Go to Manage → Channels and either create a new channel or edit your existing FBM channel.
- Order Source section — toggle on PULL Sales Orders and choose your new Trackstar Cart account from the Pull Orders From dropdown. This is how Luminous imports your incoming FBM orders.
- Push Inventory Stocks and Costs section — under Push To Integration Account, select the same Trackstar Cart account. This is how Luminous keeps your Amazon FBM listing quantities up to date.
- In the same section, confirm the Warehouse Group dropdown is set to the warehouse where your FBM inventory is stored.
- Click Save at the bottom of the form.
Step 4 — Verify the integration
- Return to Settings → Integrations.
- Confirm the new account shows SUCCESS for both Get Products and Push Stock.
- Trigger a manual stock push and verify your inventory quantities updated on the Amazon listing.
- Check that incoming orders are landing correctly in Luminous (not stuck in Purgatory).
Additional tips
- Per-SKU buffer quantities — if you want to hold back a safety buffer before reporting stock to Amazon, configure those under Manage → Channels → Product Mapping after setup is complete.
- Separating FBA from FBM — if you receive both Amazon FBA and Amazon FBM orders through the same Seller Central account, use Channel Order Filters on each channel to route them correctly (for example, filter on warehouse ID or a tag that identifies the fulfilment method).
- Already on the old Ecart integration? — see the FBM Migration SOP: ecart → trackstar_cart guide to switch over without disrupting live orders.
