Finding receiving reports by alternate ID
If your purchase orders carry an alternate ID — a supplier reference number, a customer PO number, or any other external identifier — you can now search the Receiving Reports screen using that reference directly.
Where to find it
- Navigate to Inventory → Receiving.
- The filter bar includes an Alternate ID field alongside the existing Purchase Order No., SKU, and Supplier filters.
- Type any part of the alternate ID you are looking for. The search is a partial match, so entering
2026/Junwill match2026/Jun-C11-DM. - The grid refreshes and shows only receipts whose associated purchase order carries a matching alternate ID.
The Alternate ID column in the grid
Even without filtering, every receipt row now shows an Alternate ID column. The value displayed comes from the purchase order(s) the receipt was recorded against:
- If a PO has one or more alternate IDs, they appear as badge tags in the Alternate ID column, next to the PO / TO column.
- If a PO has no alternate IDs, an em dash (—) is shown.
- Receipts that span multiple POs show each PO's alternate IDs separately, so you can always tell which reference belongs to which order.
Where alternate IDs come from
Alternate IDs are set on the purchase order itself (under the PO detail view). A single PO can carry more than one alternate ID — for example, both a supplier reference and a customer-facing order number. All are shown and all are searchable.
Tips
- The filter searches across both current and legacy alternate ID records, so older purchase orders are found just as reliably as newer ones.
- You can combine the Alternate ID filter with other filters (date range, supplier, SKU) to narrow results further.
- The filter and the column always agree: if the filter finds a receipt, the alternate ID that matched it will be visible in the grid column.
