Saved views (also called presets) store a grid layout, so you can reopen a queue, such as a department’s open work orders, without rebuilding it.
Work Orders
Saved views are on the Orders tab only. The Production Runs, Materials Planning, Shipment Planning and Job Status tabs don’t show the list. (Materials Planning has its own separate filter presets under Actions → Presets.)
Save a view
- Go to Inventory → Work Orders and open the Orders tab.
- Set the filters, visible columns, column order, widths and sorting you want.
- In the left panel, under the tab list, click Save Preset.
- Enter a name, optionally pick a color, and click Save. You’ll see “View saved”, and the view appears in the left panel.
Load a view
Click the view’s name in the left panel, or choose Select from its ⋮ menu. The grid reloads with the saved filters and columns.
Rename, recolor or delete
Click the ⋮ menu next to the view:
- Edit opens Edit Preset, where you can change only the name and color. It never changes the saved layout.
- Delete removes the view straight away. There’s no confirmation prompt, and you’ll see “View deleted”.
Update an existing view
- Set up the grid the way you want it.
- Click Save Preset and type the same name as the existing view. Upper and lower case don’t matter.
- In the Replace saved view? prompt, click Replace.
The view keeps its stored name and color, unless you pick a new color, and you’ll see “View replaced”. Clicking Cancel leaves the view unchanged.
Assembly Orders
Go to Inventory → Assembly Orders. Save Preset and your saved views appear in the left panel on the Open Orders and Closed Orders tabs. They don’t appear on Line Items (All Orders). Saving, loading, editing, replacing and deleting work exactly as described above for Work Orders. If you don’t see Save Preset on Assembly Orders, ask your Luminous contact to enable saved views for your account.
Good to know
- Saved views are shared across your account. Anyone with access to the grid sees the same list.
- Work Orders views are kept separately from other grids' views.
