Overview

Once Luminous successfully pushes a Purchase Order (PO) or PO Shipment to your 3PL warehouse (e.g. via TrackStar), the record is stamped Synced and the Push as Inbound Shipment button is hidden to prevent accidental duplicates.

If you need to push again — for example because the PO was sent to the wrong warehouse, or you want to re-push after making changes — you can use Mark as not pushed to clear that lock locally and re-enable the push button.

When to use "Mark as not pushed"

  • You pushed a PO or shipment to the wrong warehouse group and need to redirect it.
  • You need to update line items and re-push a corrected inbound to the 3PL.
  • A previous push completed in TrackStar but needs to be resent (e.g. the 3PL cancelled their inbound on their side).

⚠️ Important: this does NOT cancel the inbound in the 3PL

Mark as not pushed is a local operation only. It clears the synced lock inside Luminous but does not cancel, delete, or modify the inbound shipment that already exists in TrackStar or your 3PL WMS.

If you push again without first cancelling the old inbound in your 3PL, you will have two inbound shipments for the same PO. Cancel the original inbound in the 3PL yourself before re-pushing.

How to mark a Purchase Order as not pushed

  1. Go to Purchase Orders and locate the PO.
  2. Open the three-dot action menu (⋮) on that row (or on the PO detail page, open the actions dropdown).
  3. Click Mark as not pushed. The option is only shown when the PO's sync status is Synced.
  4. Read the confirmation dialog carefully and click Mark as not pushed to confirm.
  5. The PO's sync status changes back to Unsynced and Push as Inbound Shipment reappears in the action menu.

How to mark a PO Shipment as not pushed

  1. On the PO detail page, scroll to the Shipments section.
  2. Open the three-dot action menu on the shipment row.
  3. Click Mark as not pushed. The option is only shown when the shipment's sync status is Synced.
  4. Confirm in the dialog.
  5. The shipment's sync status reverts to Unsynced.

What happens under the hood

FieldBeforeAfter
Sync statusSyncedUnsynced
Last synced at(timestamp)Unchanged — still shown in the status chip so you can see when it was previously pushed
External 3PL linkVisibleStill accessible via the status chip (link to old inbound is preserved)
3PL inboundExistsUnchanged — still exists in the 3PL

The action is also recorded in the PO's Activity Log for audit purposes, including a note that the 3PL inbound was not cancelled.

Will auto-push fire after I mark as not pushed?

No. Auto-push requires a PO or shipment status change to trigger. Marking as not pushed alone will not cause an automatic re-push. You can either:

  • Manually select Push as Inbound Shipment from the action menu, or
  • Change the PO/shipment to a status that triggers auto-push (if configured).
