Configuring Unfulfillable Quantity Types per Warehouse Group
Luminous lets you choose exactly which raw WMS stock fields feed into the Unfulfillable stock bucket for each TrackStar-connected warehouse group. This is useful when your 3PL tracks unfulfillable inventory across multiple status fields (for example, a separate 'damaged' and 'stranded' field) and you want to combine or remap them.
Where to find the setting
- Go to Manage → Locations and click Warehouse Groups.
- On the warehouse group connected to your 3PL/WMS, open the row menu and choose Edit.
- In the Update Warehouse Group dialog, scroll to Group Options.
- Use Unfulfillable Quantity Types (OMS Stock Pull) to choose which WMS fields add into (or subtract from) the unfulfillable figure. Leave it empty to use the WMS's own Unfulfillable field.
- Click Submit.
What the selector does
| Selection | Effect |
|---|---|
| Empty (default) | Uses the WMS's own unfulfillable field — the same behaviour as before this feature. |
| One or more fields | Sums those fields (with optional subtraction) into qty_unfulfillable on each stock pull. |
The selector supports the same WMS fields available for On Hand, Pending, and Available: On Hand, Sellable, Committed, Fulfillable, Unfulfillable, Unsellable, Awaiting, plus a Subtract [field] variant for each.
Avoiding double-counting
If your On Hand Quantity Types already exclude unfulfillable stock (Sellable, Fulfillable, or Subtract Unfulfillable), Luminous records Unfulfillable as 0 for that warehouse group so it isn't subtracted twice. A yellow Note appears in the dialog when this applies.
You do not need to take any action; this protection is applied automatically based on your on-hand configuration.
Unfulfillable Quantity in exports
The Unfulfillable Quantity column appears in the Stocks Grid Excel export only when unfulfillable tracking is enabled for your account. This keeps the column order in your existing export files stable if tracking is off.
Tips
- Unfulfillable quantities only reduce Available when Enable Unfulfillable Stocks tracking is on (see What is unfulfillable stock tracking?).
- Changes apply from the next stock pull. Existing figures aren't recalculated.
- Each warehouse group can have its own mapping.
