What are Micro Apps?
Micro Apps is a curated launcher built into Luminous that gives you quick access to companion tools and utilities without leaving the platform. The tools available in your gallery are configured by the Luminous team; you cannot add apps yourself.
Opening the gallery
- Navigate to
/micro-appsin your Luminous instance (e.g.https://yourdomain.luminous.app/micro-apps). - The gallery displays every active app, with a name, optional description, and screenshot preview.
Opening an app
From the gallery card you have two options:

| Open App | Opens the tool embedded inside Luminous in a full-height inline view. |
| Open in New Tab | Launches the tool directly in a new browser tab, outside of Luminous. |
From the admin panel, apps can also be opened as a pop-out window (1200 × 800 px).
Requesting a new app
Micro Apps are managed by the Luminous team. If there is a tool your team uses regularly that you'd like added to the gallery, contact your Luminous account representative or open a support ticket describing the tool and its URL.
Troubleshooting
- App shows a blank screen or error inside the frame — Some third-party sites block being loaded inside an iframe due to their own security policies. Use Open in New Tab for those tools, or ask Luminous support whether an alternative embed URL is available.
- An app I expected to see is missing — Only apps marked as active by the Luminous team appear in the gallery. Contact support if you believe an app should be visible.
