Overview
Use an @mention to notify a specific teammate from a message or note. They receive an in-app notification and an email.
Where you can use it
- Message tab on a quote/RFQ.
- Private Note and Public Note on a supplier purchase order.
- Comments on an order.
- Message tab on a client profile.
Steps
- Open the record and click into the message or note box.
- Type @. A list of your staff appears.
- Keep typing to filter the list, then click the person you want.
- Finish your text and save or send it.
What the teammate receives
- A notification in their notification bar saying they were mentioned, with the text of your message.
- An email with the same text and a link to log in and view the record.
Good to know
- Notifications are sent when the message or note is first created. Editing an existing note to add a mention later does not notify anyone.
- The mention uses the person’s user handle: their name plus a number, for example @Name_Surname_10. Picking from the list fills it in for you. If you type a handle by hand, it must match exactly.
- Mentions are not currently confirmed for project-management task cards. Check that screen before relying on them there.
