Overview If you sell on Amazon and use AWD (Amazon Warehousing & Distribution) as an upstream warehouse feeding FBA, some of your AWD stock is reserved for outbound transfer to FBA and isn't actually available to sell. By default, that stock is included in your Committed bucket and, depending on your warehouse group's configuration, may still be counted as part of your Available quantity — which can inflate forecasting numbers, especially at high sales volume.
You can correct this using the same warehouse group configuration used to customize any Trackstar-connected warehouse (see: Customizing Stock Quantity Types for Trackstar (WMS) Integrations).
How it works (step-by-step)
- Go to Manage > Locations and click the Warehouse Groups button.
- Find the warehouse group tied to your AWD-connected warehouse, click the "⋯" menu, and select Edit.
- Scroll to Group Options > Available Quantity Types (OMS Stock Pull).
- Check Subtract Committed (in addition to whatever's already selected) so committed/reserved AWD stock is excluded from your Available total.
- Click Submit.
Why this matters Amazon's "Reserved FC Transfer" and "Reserved FC Processing" statuses both collapse into a single Committed value upstream of Luminous — that granularity isn't recoverable. Rather than trying to split it back out, the fix is to treat all AWD committed stock as unavailable for sale by subtracting it out of Available at the warehouse group level.
Note: this is something you configure yourself per warehouse group — Luminous doesn't automatically detect AWD-specific stock and apply this by default.
FAQs Q: Why isn't there a separate "Outbound to FBA" row anywhere in the product? A: That was the original idea, but the fix that shipped lets you exclude this stock from Available directly through warehouse group configuration instead — see above.
