Yes — the export always reflects exactly what you see on screen
When you click Export to CSV or Export to PDF on the Sales Report page (Insights → Sales Report), Luminous captures every filter you have active at that moment and uses those same filters to generate the exported file. Nothing is reset or broadened for the export.
What counts as an "active filter"?
All of the following are included in the export:
| Setting | Included in export? |
|---|---|
| Date range (preset or custom) | ✅ Yes |
| Saved filter template (SKUs, category, tags, etc.) | ✅ Yes |
| Line Item View vs. Order View | ✅ Yes |
| Any other filter applied to the current report | ✅ Yes |
| Pagination (current page / rows per page) | ❌ No — the export delivers all matching records across every page |
How the export is delivered
- Click the Export to CSV or Export to PDF button.
- A confirmation message appears: "Exported file will be sent to your email. Please wait…"
- Luminous generates the file in the background using your active filters and date range.
- When the file is ready, it is emailed to the address on your Luminous account. You will also see a success notification in the app.
Because the file is generated asynchronously, you do not need to keep the browser tab open after clicking Export.
Tips
- Set your filters before exporting. Changing a filter after clicking Export will not affect the file that is already being generated.
- Large date ranges may take a few minutes. The email will arrive once the full result set is assembled.
- Custom date range: Use the calendar picker to select a start and end date. The export will cover exactly that window.
- Saved filter templates: Apply a template first (via Select Search Filter), then export — the template's SKU, category, and tag constraints are all carried into the emailed file.
