Symptom

Your storefront (e.g., Shopify) is showing stale, incorrect, or zero inventory quantities even though Luminous shows stock is available. You may also notice that the Last Pushed column on the channel's Product Mapping page contains "Push Failed" messages, or that some products show "NOT PUSHED" and have never synced at all.

Why It Happens

Luminous pushes inventory quantities to your sales channel on a scheduled cycle (by default, approximately every four hours, unless you have configured a custom schedule). Each push attempt is recorded per product in the Product Mapping grid. A push can fail for several reasons:

Failure messageWhat it means
Push Failed: Product not found in Shopify (404). Product removed from integration. The product was deleted from your channel (e.g., Shopify) after the mapping was created. Luminous has removed the mapping and will no longer attempt to sync this product.
Push Failed: Product not found in Shopify (404). Mapping kept for review.A 404 was received but the mapping is being preserved so you can investigate without losing the link.
Push Failed: [error description]A network or API error prevented the stock update from reaching your channel.
Push Failed (bulk): [error description]An error occurred during a batch push; one or more products in the group were not updated.

Persistent failure threshold: If a product fails to push on 5 consecutive scheduled cycles with no successful push in between, Luminous automatically pauses retries for that product to avoid indefinite churn. The product will self-heal and resume automatically the next time a push for it succeeds — you do not need to manually reset a counter. However, until a successful push occurs, the product's stock remains stale on your channel.

Products that were never pushed may be newly mapped products awaiting their first push cycle, or products whose push has never succeeded.

How to Identify Push Failures

  1. Go to Manage → Channels and click the channel's name. The Product Mapping tab opens.
  2. Scroll right to the Last Pushed column. Each row shows the last quantity sent and when it was sent, e.g. 0 [9/1/26, 11:50 AM]. If a push failed, the error message shows in this column. [code-only]
  3. To find products that have never been pushed, click the filter icon on Last Pushed and choose NOT PUSHED.
  4. Compare Stock Lvl [Pulled] (what the channel currently shows) with Qty Available (what Luminous has). A big difference, or a timestamp more than a day old, means that product isn't being updated.
  5. Check the Ignore column. If the box is ticked, that product is skipped on every push.

How to Resolve

Step 1 — Check the channel's push settings

  1. On the channel page, click Edit (top right).
  2. Scroll to Push Inventory Stocks and Costs and confirm:
  • Push Stock to Integration is on.
  • Push To Integration Account shows your store (e.g., your Shopify account).
  • Push to Inventory Location is set to the store location you want updated.
  1. Optional: to push on a schedule, turn on Enable Scheduled Push Stock and choose a Mode:
  • Daily, then Set Times (add one or more times in 24-hour HH:MM format) or Spread
  • Hourly
  1. Click Save.

Step 2 — Push again manually

  • One product: click the ⋮ at the end of the row and choose Push Product.
  • Several products: tick the boxes on the left of those rows, then click Actions → Push Products (N).
  • Every product on the channel: with nothing selected, click Actions → Push All Product Stocks.

Then refresh the page and check that Last Pushed shows a new time.

Not sure why a product pushed the number it did? Click ⋮ → Explain Stock Push on that row.

Step 3 — If the product was deleted from the channel ("not found" error)

  • Check the product still exists in your store (e.g., in Shopify).
  • If it was removed on purpose, no action is needed.
  • If it should exist, recreate it in the store, then on Product Mapping click Actions → Pull Products to bring the listing back into Luminous. Push it again as in Step 2.

Step 4 — Make sure the product isn't ignored

In the Ignore column, untick the box for any product that should be pushed.

  1. In the Product Mapping grid, locate the product row.
  2. Click the row to open its mapping detail or select Edit from the row's action menu.
  3. Confirm the Ignore checkbox is unchecked. If it is checked, the product is intentionally excluded from all push cycles — uncheck it and save to re-enable the push.

When to Contact Support

Contact Luminous support if:

  • A product continues to show "Push Failed" after you have confirmed the channel configuration, the product exists on the channel side, and you have manually triggered a fresh push.
  • The Stock Lvl [Pulled] timestamp is consistently old across many products, suggesting the push job itself may not be running.
  • You see push failures on a large number of products simultaneously with no clear configuration change on your end.
