Outlier highlighting in the By Order view

When you switch the In-Transit Drill-down report to By order mode (the toggle in the filter bar), Luminous automatically compares each order's in-transit value against the total in-transit value for your current filter.

The amber highlight

Any order whose extended value equals or exceeds 5% of the filter-wide total is highlighted with an amber background. This is a visual signal, not an error — it means that order represents a notable concentration of your in-transit inventory value.

Example: If your filter shows $200,000 total in transit and a single PO shipment carries $12,000, that row will be highlighted because $12,000 ÷ $200,000 = 6%, which is above the 5% threshold.

The "% of Total Value" column

The % of Total Value column (sortable) shows each order's exact share. Sorting by this column descending is the fastest way to rank orders by concentration.

The concentration callout banner

Above the grid, a note like:

Top 3 orders account for 42.7% of in-transit value

This is computed by the backend across your full filtered result set — not just the current page — so it reflects the true concentration even when results span multiple pages.

What should I do with a highlighted order?

The highlight is informational — Luminous does not take any automated action. Common next steps:

  1. Review the order details — click the Reference # to open the source document.
  2. Assess arrival risk — check the ETA column and shipment status.
  3. Prioritize follow-up — for close-the-books workflows, high-concentration orders that are still in transit near period-end often need an accrual or manual note.
  4. Refine your filter — add a warehouse group, PO status, or source filter to see concentration within a specific segment.
