Overview
When you export the Sales Report as a CSV (open /reports/sales-report on your Luminous URL, then click Export to CSV), Luminous generates the file in the background and emails it to your account's email address. Each row in the CSV represents one line item from an order — so an order with three SKUs will produce three rows.
CSV Columns
The file always contains exactly nine columns in the following order:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| PO Source | Where the order originated — either Luminous (orders created inside Luminous) or 3rd Party (orders synced from an external channel such as Shopify or ShipStation) |
| Order # | The order number as it appears in your sales channel or in Luminous |
| Date | The order date, formatted as Mon DD, YYYY (e.g., Sep 15, 2026) |
| SKU | Your internal SKU for the line item |
| Product Name | The product name for that SKU |
| Quantity | Units sold on that line |
| Price | Unit price for that line item |
| Line Total | Total value of the line (quantity × unit price) |
| Order Total | The total value of the entire order (repeated on every row that belongs to the same order) |
Tips
- One row per line item. If you want to calculate an order's total, use the Order Total column rather than summing Line Total rows, since the order total is pre-calculated and repeated for each line.
- Order Source identification. Use the PO Source column to separate Luminous-native orders from third-party channel orders in your analysis.
- Filters carry over. Any date range or saved filter template you had applied when you clicked Export to CSV is reflected in the attachment — only matching orders are included.
- PDF vs. CSV. The PDF export covers the same data but is formatted for printing. The CSV is better suited for further analysis in spreadsheet tools.
