⚠ This column ships behind an account-level feature flag that is off by default.

Overview

Purchase Order line items already show what was Ordered, Shipped, and Received. A new Billed column (labelled Qty Billed) completes that picture by showing how much has actually been billed against each line — so you can reconcile a PO against its vendor bills (a 3-way match: ordered vs. received vs. billed) directly in Luminous instead of in an external spreadsheet.

How It Works (Step-by-Step)

  1. Go to Inventory > Purchase Orders.
  2. Open a PO to view its line items, either on the PO detail view or on the Line Items view in the left-hand list on the Purchase Orders page (which surface shows Billed can depend on your account's rollout stage — see FAQ).
  3. If you have billing access — the same access level that governs the Bills section — each line item now shows a Billed value alongside its existing Ordered, Shipped, and Received quantities, in that line's unit of measure.
  4. Billed totals everything billed against that line across all of its vendor bills, including bills that are still in progress and not yet posted. It's a gross figure — it does not subtract credits or returns.
  5. A line with no bills against it yet shows 0 in the Billed column.
  6. Wherever PO line-item quantities can be exported, the export now includes Billed for users with billing access, alongside Shipped and Received (previously screen-only).

Tips & Best Practices

  • Billed is a gross figure — if you need to account for credits or partial returns, check the Bills section directly; this column doesn't net those out for you.
  • An in-progress, unposted bill already counts toward Billed — don't be surprised if the number shifts before that bill is finalized.
  • If you have billing access but don't see the column yet, that's most likely a rollout timing issue rather than a permissions issue — confirm with Luminous Support.

FAQs & Troubleshooting

Q: Why don't I see a Billed column on my PO?

A: Either the feature isn't enabled for your account yet, or your user role doesn't have billing access. Contact Luminous Support to check which applies.

Q: Does Billed account for credits or partial returns?

A: No — Billed is a gross total across all vendor bills on the line. Netting credits/returns against it isn't currently supported.

Q: Can I hide the Billed column if I have billing access but don't want to see it?

A: Not currently — per-column show/hide isn't available for this column today.

Q: Where will I see the Billed column — the PO detail view or the Line Items tab?

A: This can vary by account. Check both — if it's missing from one view, it may still be enabled for the other.

Q: Is this related to the existing Remaining columns or the Shipped-vs-Received variance highlight I see on some POs?

A: No — those are part of a separate, earlier feature (PO quantity reconciliation). Billed is a new column layered on top of that same line-item view, but its rollout and visibility are tracked independently.
