How Luminous pulls products from TrackStar
When Luminous syncs products from a TrackStar WMS connection, it runs a two-phase process:
Phase 1 — Stocked SKUs (inventory feed)
Luminous first pages through TrackStar's inventory feed, which returns every SKU that currently has stock on hand. These products are saved to Luminous one page at a time.
Phase 2 — Full catalog (zero-stock SKUs)
Once the inventory feed is exhausted, Luminous continues into TrackStar's full product catalog. This second pass picks up any SKU that exists in TrackStar but carries zero on-hand quantity — for example, products that are listed but not yet received, or previously depleted items still in the warehouse system. SKUs already imported in Phase 1 are automatically skipped so no product is duplicated.
What this means for you
- You do not need to take any action. The sync runs automatically in the background.
- Both in-stock and zero-stock products are imported. If a product is in your TrackStar catalog, Luminous will receive it.
- Large catalogs are handled reliably. The sync processes data in pages rather than loading the entire catalog at once, so catalog size does not affect reliability.
When does the sync run?
Product data is pulled as part of your normal OMS sync cycle for the TrackStar integration account. You can view sync status and any errors under App Integrations in your Luminous settings.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| A product exists in TrackStar but not in Luminous | Confirm the SKU is active in TrackStar. Allow one full sync cycle to complete after it is added. |
| Product sync shows an error in App Integrations | Check that your TrackStar API credentials are valid and that the connection is active. |
| Zero-stock SKUs are missing | This is covered by Phase 2 of the sync. If products are still absent after a completed sync, contact Luminous support. |
Note: This article applies to the Trackstar (WMS) integration account type. If you are using Trackstar Cart for FBM order pulling, the product sync described here does not apply.
