Overview

The Lot Movement report shows every inventory transaction that touched a lot-tracked product within a date range. Use it to audit lot history, trace where inventory went, verify expiry-driven deductions, or investigate unexpected balance changes.

This report is available under Insights → Lot Movement. It must be enabled for your tenant — if you don't see it in the navigation, contact Luminous support.

Filters

FilterHow it works
Date rangeRequired. Filters transactions by the date the movement was recorded.
SKUOptional. Type to search and select a single product.
WarehouseOptional. Multi-select; limits results to one or more warehouses.
Lot #Optional. Enter a lot number to see only movements for that lot.

Filters are saved between sessions so your last view is restored when you return.

Supplier, Invoice, Finished Product and FG Qty are hidden by default — enable them from the Columns panel on the right edge of the grid. Use Reset columns to restore the default layout.

Common use cases

  • Trace a lot recall — filter by lot number to see every movement: which PO it came in on, which assembly orders consumed it, and the ending balance.
  • Verify FEFO deductions — sort by date ascending and check that the oldest lots show negative qty entries before newer lots.
  • Reconcile a warehouse count — filter by warehouse and date range, then sum the Qty column to verify net movement matches your physical count delta.
