After you connect a Trackstar integration, Luminous takes you to a Warehouse Setup page for that integration. You can also reach it from the integration account's Manage tab, under Warehouse Setup. This page is rolling out behind a feature flag, so you may not see it yet.

What you fill in

  • Warehouse name. Pre-filled with your integration’s label. The warehouse group and channel get the same name. If the name is already taken, a number is added to the end, for example “(2)”.
  • Facility address (optional). Add it before you send POs or ASNs to the 3PL.
  • Pull orders from the 3PL into Luminous. On by default. If you turn it off, the channel and orders steps are skipped.
  • Create Luminous products for SKUs that don't match an existing product. On by default. If you turn it off, the category step is skipped.

Click Set up warehouse.

What gets created

  1. Warehouse, with default Receiving and Shipping bins.
  2. Warehouse group. It is externally managed and pulls stock and inbound shipments from every facility on the connection. It does not push POs, PO shipments or transfer orders back to the 3PL.
  3. Channel. It pulls orders from the 3PL and does not push anything back.
  4. Holding category. named “<your integration’s label> Import,” with an “Unassigned” subcategory. Auto-created products go here.

The remaining steps wait for the connection's first sync: sync, products, stock, inbound shipments and orders. They run on their own, so you can leave the page. A new connection can take a while, and the page shows that it is waiting for the 3PL.

If something fails

If the 3PL hasn’t finished its first sync within 24 hours, the Sync step fails. Check the connection, then click Retry, which starts a new 24-hour wait.

Good to know

  • Running setup again does not create duplicates.
  • If a warehouse group already pulls from this integration, Luminous uses it instead of creating a second one. If a channel already pulls orders from it, that channel is reused and left unchanged.
  • To keep the 3PL's facilities in separate groups, use Warehouse Mapping instead.
  • After setup, move any auto-created products from the holding category into your own categories.
