What it does
The Send Incoming to Shopify's Incoming field option makes Luminous set each SKU's Incoming quantity in Shopify to the Luminous Incoming figure for that SKU. This is the same figure the Inventory page shows, calculated over the channel's warehouse group. Shopify's Incoming field is never sellable. Available and on-hand quantities are not touched.
How to turn it on
- Go to the channel for your Shopify store. It must be a Shopify channel that pushes stock.
- Edit the channel and scroll to Push Inventory Stocks and Costs.
- Tick Send Incoming to Shopify's Incoming field, then save.
- Ask your Luminous admin or support to enable the sync in the tenant's Command Scheduler. The sync runs only when that schedule row is enabled. The channel form describes it as once a day.
How it behaves
- Each run compares Luminous Incoming with what Shopify currently holds and sends only the difference. SKUs already at the target are left alone.
- Values left in Shopify's Incoming field by another system, such as an old connector, are corrected to the Luminous figure.
- Quantities are whole numbers and never negative.
- Kits and non-inventory SKUs are skipped.
- SKUs that are missing from Shopify or not stocked at the push location are skipped.
- No expected arrival date is sent.
Don't confuse it with the sellable options
- Include Incoming Stocks as Sellable and Push Incoming Stocks from Supplier Purchase Orders add incoming to the sellable quantity. They don't fill Shopify's Incoming field.
- If both the PO option and this option are on, open-PO stock is pushed as sellable and as Incoming. Turn off the PO option if you want incoming only in the Incoming field.
