The SKU page has a Change Log tab. If you don't see it, the feature isn't turned on for your account yet.

Where to find it

  1. Open a SKU from Inventory > SKUs.
  2. Click Change Log, the last tab on the left.

Product changes

This section lists changes to the SKU's details: name, SKU, UPC, category, subcategory, product type, SKU type, status, sellable, discontinued, lot tracking, tax settings, preferred supplier, reorder level, retail and wholesale prices, units of measure, units per carton or pallet, and dimensions and weights. Each entry shows the previous and new value, who made the change, and where it came from. The source can be the app, the API, an import, an automatic create from an order, or a system job.

You can filter the list by User Type, change the Date Sort, and include or exclude Automation Logs.

If the section is empty, recording may not be on for your account. It may also have started after the SKU was last changed. Changes made before recording started are not shown.

Cost changes

This section lists changes to the unit cost of the SKU's cost layers. It shows:

  • Change type: manual override, cost import, system repair, operator correction, or consolidation to weighted average.
  • Source: edited in app, import, support correction, Close the Books, cost layer rebuild, or cost reapply. Older rows show "Not recorded".
  • Warehouse and lot.
  • Cost change per unit, and the total cost before and after.
  • User and remarks.

Layers that were deleted later still appear. Rows are newest first and paged.

Permissions

The cost section only shows for users who have permission to see SKU unit cost. Other users see the product changes only.

Quantity movements such as receipts and sales are not in this section. Use the SKU's Qty Logs tab for those.
