What is the Active Jobs view?

The Active Jobs panel gives you a real-time view of every background job running in your Luminous account — imports, exports, order syncs, shipping label batches, purchase order updates, and more. It lives in the left-hand navigation sidebar and is always one click away, no matter which page you're on.

Opening the Active Jobs panel

  1. Look at the bottom of the left sidebar. When at least one job exists, you will see a small widget showing either:
    • "X Active Job(s)" — one or more jobs are still running
    • "No Active Jobs" — all jobs have finished or failed
    • An overall progress bar indicating how many jobs have completed.
  2. Click the widget to open the Active Jobs panel (an 850-pixel-wide overlay).

The widget only appears when there is at least one job to show. If nothing appears in the sidebar, no jobs have been created yet during your session.

What the panel shows

Each job row in the panel displays:

ColumnWhat it means
TimeWhen the job was created (e.g., 3:42 PM)
Job nameA human-readable label for the job
Progress barHow far along the job is (only shown while the job is still running)
Status badgeOne of: queued, executing, retrying, finished, or failed

Filtering the job list

Use the three filter controls at the top of the panel to narrow down what you see:

  • Job Type — select a specific category of job (e.g., Import Sales Order Job, Sync Shopify Orders Job)
  • Status — show only jobs in a particular state (e.g., only failed jobs)
  • Search — type any keyword to search across job names, types, and statuses

All filters work together. Clear any dropdown back to its default ("All …") to remove that filter.

Actions available on each job

  • Click the job title — opens a Job Output dialog showing the raw result data from that job, along with its status, creation time, and a Copy button to copy the output to your clipboard.
  • Download Export (export jobs only) — when an export job finishes, a Download Export button appears directly on the job row so you can save the file.
  • Go to Import Page (import jobs only) — for jobs such as Sales Order imports or SKU imports, a Go to Import Page button appears so you can jump straight to the relevant import screen and review any row-level errors.

Refreshing the job list

The panel refreshes automatically in the background:

  • Every 5 seconds while jobs are actively running
  • Every 30 seconds when no jobs are running (with gradual slowdown if a job appears stuck)

To force an immediate update, click Refresh now in the footer of the panel.

You will also receive a green toast notification when a job finishes successfully, and a red toast notification if a job fails — even if the panel is closed.

Notification toasts

  • ✅ "Job processing success" — the job completed without errors.
  • ❌ "Job processing failed" — the job encountered an error. Open the panel, find the failed job, and click its title to read the output and identify the cause.
