Overview

Yes — every export option on the SKUs page (Inventory → SKUs) fully respects whatever filters are active in the filter panel at the moment you click Export. The same filter criteria that narrow the rows you see on screen are passed directly to the export request, so the downloaded file contains only the matching SKUs.

Step 1 — Apply your filters

At the top of the SKUs grid, open the filter panel and set any combination of the available filters:

  • Product SKU or Supplier SKU — text search
  • Product name — text search
  • SKU type — Master/Parent SKUs or Child (Variant) SKUs
  • SKU status / Discontinued — Active, Discontinued, or All
  • Tags, Category, Sub category
  • Warehouse / Location
  • Warehouse Group
  • Preferred Supplier, Clients, Channels
  • Quantity level — Warning Level, Re-order Level, etc.
  • Lot Tracking — On, Off, or All
  • Sellable — Yes, No, or All
  • Created From / Created To — date range
  • Product Type — Product or Kit
  • Any Custom Fields your account has configured

The grid updates in real time as you apply filters. Only rows that match all active filters are shown.

Step 2 — (Optional) Check-select specific rows

If you want to export only a hand-picked subset rather than everything that matches your filters, use the checkboxes on the left of each row to select individual SKUs (or use Select All for the current page).

Checked rows override filters. When one or more checkboxes are ticked, the export sends exactly those row IDs — the filter settings are ignored for the purpose of scoping the export. If no boxes are checked, the full active filter query is used instead.

Step 3 — Choose an export type

Click the Export button (top-right of the SKUs grid) and select one of the available formats from the dropdown:

Export optionFormat
Export Master SKUs to Excel.xlsx
Export Full Master SKUs to Excel.xlsx
Export Master SKU Details to Excel.xlsx
Export Variant SKUs to Excel.xlsx
Export Variant SKU Details to Excel.xlsx
Export Alternate SKUs to Excel.xlsx
Export Alternate SKUs to CSV.csv
Export SKU with Custom Fields to Excel.xlsx
Export SKU with Custom Fields to CSV.csv
Export to PDF.pdf
Export Customized Format.xlsx / .csv / .pdf (template-defined)

Choose the option that matches the columns you need. "Details" variants include additional fields such as tags and shipping carriers.

What happens next

Depending on your account configuration, one of two things will happen:

  • Immediate download — A progress dialog appears while Luminous collects all matching records (in batches of up to 1,000 at a time). When complete, the file downloads automatically to your browser.
  • Background export (Download Center) — A notification appears at the bottom of the screen confirming the export has started. Click Go to Downloads in the notification, or navigate to Tools → Downloads in the main menu, to retrieve the file once it is ready.

Tips

  • Large catalogs: If your catalog has thousands of SKUs, applying filters before exporting keeps file sizes manageable and speeds up generation.
  • Variant SKUs: The "Master SKUs" export groups variants under their parent. Use the "Variant SKUs" or "Full Master SKUs" export types if you need one row per variant.
  • Custom fields: Only the "SKU with Custom Fields" export types include your account's custom field columns.
