Overview
The Login Designs library (under Settings → Operations → B2B Login Designs) lets you build, preview, and publish branded sign-in pages for your wholesale buyer portal. One design is "live" at a time — that is what buyers see at the portal sign-in URL. All other designs stay in your library as drafts, ready to preview or promote whenever you need them.
Note: This feature is enabled per tenant. If you do not see a Login Designs item in your B2B Portal settings, contact your Luminous account team to have it turned on.
Step 1 — Open the Login Designs library
- In the Luminous admin, open the account menu at top-right (Luminous Admin) and click Settings.
- In the Settings menu, under Operations, click B2B Login Designs. You land on the design library.
Step 2 — Create a new design
- Click Create Design (top-right header button). An unsaved draft opens on the right.
- Give the design a Name (up to 80 characters). This is internal only — buyers never see it.
- Choose a Layout preset:
- Split · image right (default) — form on the left, photo panel on the right.
- Split · image left — photo panel on the left, form on the right.
- Card on image — a centered card sits over a full-bleed background.
- Minimal · no image — a clean, lightly tinted background with no large image region.
- Background photo (optional) — click Choose File. Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP. Maximum file size: 10 MB. Photos wider than 2,560 px are automatically downscaled; you do not need to resize them before uploading.
- Background fallback — shown when no photo is uploaded, or while the photo loads. Choose Gradient or Solid and enter a hex color (e.g.
#1e4b8f). Leave the color field blank to inherit your portal brand color from the Branding tab. - Copy (all optional):
- Headline — the greeting buyers see above the login form (max 120 characters). Defaults to "Sign in to your account" when left blank.
- Sub line — a short supporting line beneath the headline (max 300 characters).
- Support line — shown below the login form, e.g. a support email or phone number (max 300 characters).
- The live preview on the right updates as you type — it mirrors what buyers will see, including your portal logo and brand color from the Branding tab.
- Click Save. The design is added to your library.
Step 3 — Preview a design before publishing
Each saved design has a preview link — a shareable URL that loads the real portal sign-in page with that design applied, regardless of which design is currently live.
- Open the design from the library rail.
- Click Copy preview link in the header. Paste the link in a browser or share it with a stakeholder.
- If you need to invalidate an old preview link (e.g. after sharing a draft you no longer want accessible), click the ⋮ menu → Generate new preview link. The old link stops working immediately; a new link is copied to your clipboard.
Step 4 — Set a design live
- Open the design you want buyers to see.
- Click Set live in the header.
- A confirmation toast appears. The design is now live for all buyers immediately.
The live design is marked with a badge in the library. It cannot be archived or deleted until you set a different design live first.
Managing your library
| Action | How to do it |
|---|---|
| Edit | Click a design tile in the library rail, make changes, click Save. |
| Duplicate | Open a design → ⋮ menu → Duplicate. A copy is created with " (copy)" appended to the name. |
| Archive | Open a non-live design → ⋮ menu → Archive. The design moves to the Archived section and is hidden from the active library, but is not deleted. |
| Restore | In the Archived section, click Restore on the design's tile. It returns to the active library. |
| Delete | Open a non-live design → ⋮ menu → Delete. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. |
Tips
- The live design saves instantly. When you save changes to the design that is currently live, buyers see the updated version immediately. The save confirmation says "Saved. Your customers see this design now." to remind you.
- Fallback color = brand color when blank. If you clear the background fallback color field, the fallback inherits the brand color set in the Branding tab. This keeps the sign-in page on-brand automatically.
- Photo is optional for every layout. The Card and Minimal layouts look intentional with just a color fallback — no photo required.
- Portal-wide identity (your logo, brand color, browser tab title, and favicon) is set in the Branding tab of B2B Portal settings. Those values are shared across all designs and reflected in every design's preview.
