Use this when a sales order ships in parts and you want to bill each part separately.

  1. Go to Operations → Sales Orders and find the order.
  2. Open the row’s actions menu (⋮) and choose Create Invoice.
  3. The Create Sales Order Invoice window lists each line with its Ordered, Invoiced, Fulfilled and To Invoice quantities.
  4. By default, To Invoice is the fulfilled quantity minus what’s already invoiced. Click Set Fulfilled to reset to that, or Set Ordered to use ordered minus invoiced. You can also type a quantity on any line.
  5. Click Create Invoice. Only lines with a quantity above zero are invoiced. If every line is zero, you’ll see “Please invoice at least one item.”
  6. When more items ship, repeat these steps to invoice the rest.

Notes

  • Selecting several orders and choosing Bulk Actions → Create Invoices opens a batch dialog instead. Use the row action for partial invoicing.
  • Invoices created this way count toward the order's invoiced quantity.
