Stock Snapshot export now mirrors your grid columns

The Stock Snapshot Excel export (and the background Download Center export for large tenants) now writes exactly the columns you have visible on the grid, in the order you have arranged them.

What changed

Previously the export always produced the full legacy column set regardless of what you had shown or hidden on screen. Now the export reads your live grid state at the moment you click Export, so the workbook you receive matches what you see.

How to control which columns are exported

  1. Navigate to Insights → Stock Snapshot.
  2. Use the column chooser (the Columns panel on the right edge of the grid) to show or hide individual columns — for example, add Sold Value, hide Adjustment Count, or surface In-Transit Count.
  3. Drag column headers to reorder them if needed.
  4. Click Export to Excel (or the background export button if your account uses the Download Center for large exports). The workbook will contain only the columns that are currently visible, labeled with the same header names shown on screen.

Columns available

All columns that are toggleable in the grid can be included in the export, including:

  • SKU, Product Name, Warehouse, UOM
  • On-Hand Qty. / On-Hand Value
  • Starting Inventory Count / Value
  • Received Count / Value
  • Sold Count / Value
  • Adjustment Count / Value
  • Ending Inventory Count / Value
  • Start Avg Unit Cost / End Avg Unit Cost
  • Preferred Supplier
  • In-Transit Count / In-Transit Value (if enabled for your account)

Falling back to all columns

If no columns are detected (for example, if the grid state is unavailable at export time), the export automatically falls back to the complete legacy column set, so you will never receive an empty file.

Tips

  • Column visibility and order are saved in your browser's local storage, so your layout persists across sessions on the same browser.
  • The export honors both the synchronous export (small tenants) and the Download Center background export (large tenants) — both paths use the same column selection.
  • Valuation columns (On-Hand Value, Starting/Ending Inventory Value, etc.) are only populated when the Include Period Valuation option is active.
