Overview

By default, Luminous restocks a Shopify return when Shopify reports the refund line as restocked. Restocked units go to the tenant-wide return warehouse group, or to the warehouse the order shipped from if that setting is blank. You can now override this for each Shopify store connection, so one store never restocks while others behave as before.

Where to set it

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and click the edit (pencil) icon on your Shopify store’s row. The Edit Integration Account window opens; scroll down to the returns settings.
  2. Find Returns: restock policy.
  3. If you chose the group policy, pick a warehouse group in Returns: warehouse group (restock-to-group policy only).
  4. Save.

The three options

Follow Shopify (restock when Shopify restocks)Same as before. Luminous restocks when Shopify marks the refund line as restocked, using the tenant return warehouse group setting.
Restock to the warehouse group belowRestocked returns land in the warehouse group you choose for this store.
Never restockReturns from this store are never added back to sellable stock.

If no policy is set, the store behaves as before.

Notes

  • The policy applies to returns from the store that the original order came from, so other channels and stores are unaffected.
  • The warehouse group field only matters for the restock-to-group policy.
