When you ship a transfer order that contains lot-tracked items, Luminous opens a Choose the lot to deduct dialog.
- Click Mark as Shipped on the transfer from the work order screens. For example, use the Finished Goods Transfers panel on a work order, or Shipment Planning.
- For each line, pick a lot from the dropdown. Each lot shows its on-hand quantity at the source warehouse. If no named lot has on-hand there, the dropdown is disabled.
- Click Ship with these lots, or click Ship without a lot to skip lot assignment. Cancel stops the shipment.
What happens at the destination
- When the destination receipt is created automatically (for example, an auto-reconciled inbound shipment), it carries the source lot. Quantity is matched to the lots shipped, and anything already received is not counted twice.
- If there is no known source lot for some quantity, that quantity posts to the unspecified lot.
- If the destination warehouse's on-hand is owned by an external stock pull (such as FBA or AWD), the receipt stays on the unspecified lot. The source deduction lot is still recorded on the outbound shipment.
Use the Lot Movement report to confirm where each lot went.
