Overview

By default, a SKU can stay listed in a named bin after its quantity there drops to 0. You can have Luminous clear these empty rows automatically.

Turn it on

  1. Go to Settings → Inventory.
  2. Switch on Remove SKUs from bins when on-hand reaches 0.
  3. Save.

What happens

The cleanup runs nightly. It removes a SKU's row from a bin only when all of these are true:

  • The row has 0 on-hand and 0 reserved.
  • The bin is active and is a named bin. Unspecified, Receiving, Shipping and picklist WIP bins are excluded.
  • The SKU still has stock (on-hand above 0) in another active, non-WIP bin of the same warehouse.
  • If the empty bin is a pick bin, the SKU must still have stock in another pick bin.

A SKU is kept in its last bin while it is out of stock, so it always has a location.

Separately from this setting, rows at 0 on-hand in the Unspecified, Receiving and Shipping bins are also removed nightly.

See empty rows on Location details

Go to Manage → Locations and open a location. Use the filter above the SKU list:

  • In stock (default) shows SKUs with stock.
  • Fully used shows SKUs at zero.
  • All shows everything.

Searching for a SKU switches the filter to All so you can find it.
