Overview
In Luminous, a carrier shipping account number (sometimes called a "billing account number" with a carrier such as UPS or FedEx) is stored as part of a Shipping Address profile on a CRM company record. Each company can have multiple shipping address profiles, and each profile has its own Account Number field. You can add new shipping address profiles or edit existing ones at any time from the company's Shipping Addresses tab.
Step 1 — Open the Company Record
- Go to Sales → CRM → Companies.
- Find and click the company you want to update.
Step 2 — Go to the Shipping Addresses Tab
On the company detail page, click the Shipping Addresses tab in the left navigation bar.
You will see a table listing all existing shipping address profiles for this company. Each row shows the address details, the Account Number column, the Shipping Type, contact information, and more.
To Add a New Shipping Address (with an account number)
- Click the Actions button (top-right of the Shipping Addresses tab).
- Select Create Shipping Address.
- In the form that opens, fill in the required fields (address, city, state, postal code, country, and company name).
- Enter the carrier account number in the Account Number field.
- Optionally fill in Shipping Type, contact details, and notes.
- Click Save.
To Edit an Existing Shipping Address (including its account number)
- In the Shipping Addresses table, locate the row for the shipping profile you want to update.
- Click the actions dropdown (the menu icon at the right end of the row).
- Select the edit/update option.
- In the form that opens, update the Account Number field (and any other fields you need).
- Click Save.
Tip: You can also use the actions dropdown to set a shipping address as the default or delete it.
Notes
- The Account Number field is free-text — enter the account number exactly as your carrier requires.
- Each shipping address profile has its own account number, so you can store different carrier account numbers for different ship-from or bill-to addresses on the same company.
- There is no separate carrier-account section on the company record — the account number lives inside each shipping address profile.
