Why these tokens appear

A token labeled Luminous Agent is created automatically by Luminous. You don't create it yourself. It is created when a user opens the in-app Luminous AI agent (the embedded agent chat) and the agent connects to your account for the first time.

The token belongs to the individual user who opened the agent. Luminous creates one per user and reuses it on later sessions. If several people on your team have used the agent, you will see several "Luminous Agent" entries. This is expected.

The agent uses this token for its own lookups of your account data. The full token value is never sent to the browser.

Can I safely delete them?

Yes, deleting one is safe. It doesn't affect your other integrations, because each token only works for the agent session of the user it belongs to. Some things to know first:

  • Deletion is immediate. Anything still using that token gets a 401 Unauthorized response from then on.
  • It may be recreated. The next time that user opens the agent, Luminous creates a new "Luminous Agent" token for them, because it no longer finds one. A deleted token reappearing is normal.
  • An agent chat that is open when you delete the token may stop working. If that happens, the user can reopen the agent to get a fresh token.
  • Don't reuse it elsewhere. The token is managed by Luminous and you never see its full value. Create a separate, clearly labeled token for your own scripts and integrations.

How to delete one

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner and choose Settings.
  2. Under Integrations, click API Tokens.
  3. Find the Luminous Agent token and click the Delete (trash) icon.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

Tips

  • If you don't want the agent used by someone, deleting the token is not enough, because it is recreated the next time that user opens the agent. Use your normal user and permission controls instead.
  • To clean up the list, delete only the tokens you no longer need. Leave tokens used by your integrations alone.
