Symptom
An inbound EDI 850 has the same SKU on two or more separate PO lines (for example, lines 0001 and 0002, qty 1 each). All units ship together in one shipment. The invoice and outgoing 810 put the full quantity on the first PO line only. The retailer marks that line Shipped, leaves the other lines unshipped, and the PO stays in Acknowledged. That risks late-ship compliance penalties or an auto-cancel.
What changed
For EDI (850-sourced) orders with the same SKU on separate PO lines, invoices that Luminous creates automatically when a shipment is received now bill each PO line for its own share of the shipment. The 810 shows one line per PO line, each with its own quantity.
What stays the same
- Orders where same-SKU lines share one PO line key still produce a single 810 line, as before.
- Orders with unique SKUs are unaffected.
When the fix does not apply
- Invoices created automatically when the order is received (rather than when it ships).
- Invoices you create manually.
These can still put the full quantity on the first PO line. Check them before sending the 810.
If you have an affected order
Invoices created before the fix were not rewritten. Open the invoice and check each PO line's quantity. If it is wrong, contact Luminous support to correct the invoice and resend the 810.
