Overview

The Sales Report page (open /reports/sales-report on your Luminous URL; this page is no longer linked from the main navigation) offers two export formats: Export to CSV and Export to PDF. Both buttons are in the top-right corner of the page, both apply your currently active filters and date range, and both are generated in the background — the finished file is emailed to your account's email address rather than downloaded instantly.

How each format is structured

Export to CSV

The CSV produces a flat, spreadsheet-friendly file with one row per line item. Every order's lines are listed individually, making it easy to sort, filter, pivot, or import the data into Excel, Google Sheets, or a BI tool.

Each row contains:

ColumnDescription
PO SourceWhether the order originated in Luminous or from a third-party channel
Order #The order number
DateThe order date
SKUThe product's internal SKU
Product NameThe product name
QuantityUnits sold on that line
PriceUnit price
Line TotalQuantity × price for that line
Order TotalThe overall order total (repeated on each line of the same order)

Export to PDF

The PDF produces a print-ready, grouped document where each order occupies its own row and the order's line items appear in a nested table within that row.

Each order block shows:

  • PO Source, Order #, and Date in the left column
  • A nested line-item table (columns: SKU, Product Name, Quantity, Price, Line Total) in the centre column
  • The Order Total in the right column

Orders with many line items are split across multiple rows (up to 15 items per block) to keep the layout readable. The file is formatted as a landscape document.

Delivery

After clicking either button, Luminous shows a confirmation message and begins generating the file in the background. When the export is ready, it is attached to an email sent to your account's email address. For large date ranges this may take a few minutes.

Tip: Make sure your date range and any saved filter templates are configured before you click Export — both formats capture the filters that were active at the moment you clicked.
