Product results in global search
When you search in Luminous, each product result row shows several pieces of information beneath the product name so you can qualify the result without opening the record.
Subtitle line
The subtitle is a dot-separated list of up to four facts:
| Detail | Example | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| SKU | SKU: SH-CORE-HOODIE | Matches are highlighted in bold when the SKU matches your query |
| Available quantity | 12 available | 0 available is shown deliberately — it means the SKU is out of stock |
| Retail price | $49.00 | Omitted if no price is configured or the price is $0 |
| Account name | Acme Corp | Shown only for products linked to a specific business account |
Status badge
Every product row shows a colored chip indicating its catalog status:
| Status | Badge color |
|---|---|
| Active | Green |
| Draft | Blue |
| Discontinued | Red |
| Not Sellable | Yellow |
This lets you spot inactive or draft SKUs without opening the product.
Thumbnail
If a product has a photo configured, a small thumbnail appears on the left of the row. If no photo is set, a product icon shows instead.
Variant products (parent rows)
When a search matches multiple variants of the same product style (e.g., several sizes of the same hoodie), Luminous collapses them into one parent row rather than listing each size separately. The parent row shows:
- The product family name
- Number of variants (e.g.,
5 variants) - Combined available quantity across all variants
- Price (if configured)
Clicking the row takes you to the parent product page, where you can browse all variants.
Note: Variant collapsing is enabled per account. If you see individual variant rows instead of a parent row, your account may not yet have this setting applied — contact support.
