Overview
Fulfillment channel restrictions allow control over which warehouses or integrations can fulfill specific orders. Rules can be set based on shipping location, such as limiting a warehouse to Canadian orders only, specific states like Utah, or excluding international orders.
When restrictions are applied, Luminous only selects that channel during automatic fulfillment routing if the order matches the defined rules.
How It Works
- Restrictions are applied directly to fulfillment channels
- During automatic routing, Luminous checks each channel’s rules
- If an order does not meet the rules, the channel is skipped
- If no channels qualify, the order may remain unrouted
Leaving restrictions empty means the channel behaves normally with no limitations.
How to Configure Fulfillment Channel Restrictions
- Go to Manage > Channels
- Select the Fulfilment channel you will update
- Click Edit, then scroll down and locate the Fulfillment restrictions section
- Choose a match type:
- All conditions (AND) – all rules must match
- Any condition (OR) – at least one rule must match
- Add conditions:
- Select a Field (e.g., Ship-to Country, State)
- Choose an Operator (e.g., Is one of, Is not one of)
- Enter the Value (e.g., US, CA, UT)
- Click Save

Tips & Best Practices

- Combine rules with AND for stricter control
- Use OR when allowing multiple regions
- Test rules before rollout to avoid routing issues
