Overview
Production run PDF exports now include an Extra Costs section listing all extra cost lines that are set to reach the document total. The section shows each cost's name, description, source (Run or Work Order), and amount, followed by a subtotal. The grand total at the bottom of the PDF now equals the work-order service-fee subtotal plus the extra costs subtotal.
Only costs with their Destination set to Document Total Only or Both appear in the PDF. Costs set to Cost Layer Only are never included.
Options-mode templates (default layout)
If you use the built-in default template layout:
- Go to Manage → Templates and open your Production Run template.
- In the section toggles, enable or disable Show Extra Costs.
- Save the template.
When enabled and extra costs exist, the PDF includes the Extra Costs table and the grand total reflects the combined amount.
HTML templates (custom layout)
If you use an HTML template with Mustache placeholders, the following are now available:
Extra Costs loop
Use {{#extraCosts}}...{{/extraCosts}} to render one row per extra cost that reaches the document total. The loop collects costs from both the production run itself and all of its child work orders.
{{#hasExtraCosts}}
<h2>Extra Costs</h2>
<table>
<thead>
<tr>
<th>Name</th>
<th>Description</th>
<th>Source</th>
<th>Amount</th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
{{#extraCosts}}
<tr>
<td>{{name}}</td>
<td>{{description}}</td>
<td>{{source}}</td>
<td>{{lineTotal}}</td>
</tr>
{{/extraCosts}}
</tbody>
<tfoot>
<tr>
<td colspan="3">Extra Costs Subtotal</td>
<td>{{extraCostTotals.subtotal}}</td>
</tr>
</tfoot>
</table>
{{/hasExtraCosts}}
Available placeholders
Inside {{#extraCosts}}:
| Placeholder | Description |
|---|---|
{{name}} | Extra cost name |
{{description}} | Extra cost description |
{{source}} | Run (production run level) or Work Order (child work order) |
{{lineTotal}} | Formatted currency amount |
Extra cost totals (run level):
| Placeholder | Description |
|---|---|
{{extraCostTotals.subtotal}} | Sum of all extra costs that reach the document total (formatted currency) |
{{extraCostTotals.count}} | Number of extra cost lines |
Boolean flag (run level):
| Flag | When true |
|---|---|
{{#hasExtraCosts}} | At least one extra cost reaches the document total |
Notes
- If a production run has no extra costs marked as reaching the document total, the Extra Costs section is omitted from the PDF entirely (the
hasExtraCostsflag is false). - The grand total shown in the default template is always: Work Order Subtotal + Extra Costs Subtotal, regardless of whether the Extra Costs section is toggled on or off.
