Scheduled auto-publish
Luminous can push any pending catalog updates to a connection automatically on a repeating schedule, so your channel listings stay current without manual intervention.
Available schedules
| Option | How often it pushes |
|---|---|
| Hourly | Once per hour |
| Every 6 hours | Four times per day |
| Daily | Once per day |
How auto-push works
- On each scheduled tick, Luminous checks which SKUs in the Needs Push tab are not already in a push job for that connection, then queues them as a background job.
- If a push job from a previous tick is still running, those pairs are skipped to prevent the same SKU from being sent to the channel twice.
- Dismissed pairs are not auto-pushed. If you have dismissed a pair and want it pushed automatically, re-open it by editing the SKU in Luminous (which clears the dismiss) or publish it manually.
- Excluded connections are never auto-pushed regardless of their schedule setting.
Enabling and configuring auto-push
Auto-push settings are configured per connection. Go to Inventory → Product Publishing, click Connections, check Auto-push on schedule for the connection, then choose a Frequency (defaults to Hourly). Auto-push is off by default and can't be enabled for a connection that is turned off. Once configured:
- The scheduler runs automatically — no further action is needed.
- You can monitor outcomes in the Product Publishing queue. Successfully pushed pairs move out of Needs Push; any that failed appear in the Failed tab with an error message.
Tips
- Hourly is suitable for catalogs that change frequently (prices, stock flags, descriptions updated throughout the day).
- Daily is suitable for slower-moving catalogs and reduces API calls to the downstream channel.
- Auto-push only processes the Needs Push tab — it does not re-push pairs that are already up to date, so running it hourly on a stable catalog has minimal overhead.
