Use Pull back from QuickBooks when a bill synced to QuickBooks Online (QBO) with wrong details and you want to correct it and post it again. This is rolled out per tenant. If you don't see the button, ask support to enable it.
Steps
- Open the bill. The button only appears on bills whose QuickBooks sync status is Synced.
- Click Pull back from QuickBooks.
- Confirm the prompt. Luminous deletes the bill in QuickBooks first.
- Once the delete succeeds, the bill returns to unposted. It is unlinked from QuickBooks, and the posted date and posted-by user are cleared.
- Correct the bill and post it again. It will sync to QuickBooks as a new bill.
The action is recorded in the QuickBooks sync event log.
If it can't be pulled back
You will see a message explaining why, and the bill is left unchanged. Common reasons:
- A payment, prepayment or vendor credit is applied to the bill in QuickBooks. Void or reverse it first, then pull the bill back.
- The bill's month is sent to QuickBooks as a period summary. It can't be pulled back on its own.
- Another Luminous bill is linked to the same QuickBooks bill.
- The bill number in QuickBooks doesn't match the one in Luminous. Nothing is deleted.
- QuickBooks isn't connected, or QuickBooks didn't confirm the delete. Reconnect or try again. The bill is unchanged.
If the bill was already deleted in QuickBooks, pulling it back simply unlinks and unposts it here.
