Overview

Luminous sales orders can carry one or more tags (labels you apply to orders for routing, priority, or workflow purposes). When you push orders to TrackStar via an Advanced Mapping, those tags are available as a ready-to-use source field that maps directly to TrackStar's tags field.

This article walks you through creating or updating an Integration Mapping to include that tags rule, then attaching it to your TrackStar channel.

How Luminous exposes order tags for mapping

When Advanced Mapping is active, Luminous automatically collects every tag on the sales order and makes them available as a field called tags — a list of tag names (for example, ["urgent", "gift-note", "vip"]). TrackStar's order schema also accepts a top-level tags field in the same list format, so a direct, no-transformation mapping is all that is needed.

Step 1 — Open Integration Mappings

  1. In the left-hand navigation, go to Manage › Mappings.
  2. Either open an existing PUSH_ORDERS mapping for your TrackStar account, or click Create Mapping to start a new one.

Step 2 — Set up or confirm the mapping's basic settings

Click Create mapping. The mapping editor opens and uses the example order to show real values (including its tags) beside each TrackStar destination field.

Step 3 — Add the tags mapping rule

The mapping editor has two views, toggled at the top: Mapping (guided) and Advanced (row grid). Use either one.

Option A — Using the Mapping view (guided)

  1. With Mapping selected, find the TrackStar tags destination field in the field list (for example under Order details).
  2. Open its Choose source dropdown.
  3. Select the Luminous tags field as the source.
  4. No transformation is needed — the list passes through as-is.
  5. Click Save at the top of the mapping editor.

Option B — Using the Advanced view (row grid)

Switch to Advanced, click Add row, and set Source field = tags and Destination field = tags (no transformation). This is equivalent to the following rule:

For example, a minimal mapping that sends the order reference number and tags to TrackStar would look like:

Add whatever other field rules your channel requires around this entry.

Step 4 — Save and link the mapping to your TrackStar channel

  1. Click Update (or Create) to save the mapping.
  2. Go to Manage › Channels and open your TrackStar fulfillment channel.
  3. In the Order Destination section, confirm that Push Orders to Integration is enabled and your TrackStar account is selected.
  4. Set Mapping Type to Advanced Mapping.
  5. In the Integration Mapping dropdown, select the mapping you just saved.
  6. Save the channel.

From this point on, every order pushed through that channel will include the order's tags in the TrackStar payload.

Verification

To confirm the mapping is working:

  • Push a test order that has at least one tag applied.
  • Look up the resulting order in TrackStar and confirm the tags appear in the tags field.

Troubleshooting
